Craft in Focus

  Selected Makers

Recommend a Maker

We welcome recommendations for craft&design Selected. You can recommend professional designer-makers and artisans currently working in the UK and Ireland, and if you fit this description, please recommend yourself!

  • A basic entry in Selected is free of charge (one image, 250 words, plus contact details - although we do ask for a reciprocal link before including website details). We can add additional images up to a total of four (i.e. one free image and up to three additional images) - see price list below. If the person that you are recommending is a member of any UK Craft Guilds or Associations, please mention this if you know these details.
  • Recommendations for consideration for Selected should be submitted either by email to selected@craftanddesign.net or in writing to:

      Selected Applications,
      craft&design Magazine,
      P.O. Box 5,
      Driffield,
      YO25 8JD

  • Where possible, recommendations should include: contact details; a selection of images to illustrate the maker's work; up to 250 words of text about the maker's work, with information about the materials and techniques used. Further information may be requested if the recommendation is accepted.
  • Note: We will include a link to a makers' website on the condition that the maker includes a link to www.craftanddesign.net on their site.
A really useful website. As an editor always looking for new talent, I found craft&design Selected a valuable tool to find skilled British crafters.
