Production and Design Director
Brought up in the East End of London, Paul started working life as a messenger in an advertising agency in the early 60's, working up to producing finished artwork in the studio.
Then at the age of 21 he took the plunge and joined a small design group as a graphic designer and eventually becoming creative director with a staff of 25.
After a short spell with a large surgical instrument company as advertising manager he and Angie started their own design business in 1982.
The next year they started attending craft fairs as stall holders, producing greetings cards, and after a few shows saw the need for a journal to help the craft workers find out where events took place. This lead to a quarterly Craftsman newspaper and then over the years to the bi-monthly, full colour magazine of today.
The aim of the magazine has always been to help and inform, rather than 'How to do it!' concentrating on the things that the committed hobbyist and professional need to know about running a successful business, along with helping to provide data that can be used by anyone interested in making crafts.
