Hybrid Processes - Kilncasting and Pate de Verre with Marina Hanser

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
In this workshop we will explore the hybrid process of combining traditional high-temperature kiln casting with the low-temperature technique of pâte de verre to produce work which reveals the wide variety of different properties glass has to offer. The process will take us through mould making techniques, working with frit, powder and billets, various firing cycles, cold working and more. Book by: 27 Feb '18

Full Day Introduction to Glass Fusing with Enamels

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Winner of the Gold Award for Glass, Steve Robinson is a glass artist specialising in kiln-fusing. Steve is one of only a few professional glass artists working with enamel powders to colour the glass (rather than pre-coloured glass). He has developed his own techniques for working with these enamels, which he will share with you. You'll make your own large wall hanging and some smaller pieces. Book by: 16 Mar '18
