with Jeffery Courtney. This course gets back to the basics of good drawing skills. Observational studies from the landscape and in the studio using a variety of media and approaches. Each day will begin with exercises to sharpen the mind as well as the pencils! All levels welcome.

with Judith Gardner. Walking and drawing from observation with a sketchbook, painting small studies 'in situ' giving consideration to design and use of colour and tone. Working from the landscape. In wet weather foliage and flowers will be a subject to consider as well as using sketches. All levels welcome.

Drawing and Painting the Flora at Malham Tarn
For anyone with an interest in native flora. Immerse yourself in a close study of the plants of this special habitat and learn how to record them in watercolour. Tuition includes exercises to build speed and accuracy for fieldwork, colour mixing and paint handling to give even complete beginners confidence.

Landscapes in Stitch
Create a stitched textile landscape artwork, inspired by the wonderful surroundings of Malham Tarn. Embroidery may be by hand or machine, on any fabric, using any thread type and could be a wall hanging, picture or piece of stitched fabric that can be made into a cushion or a bag.
