Whittling Wildlife in Wood with Dave Harter - Birds

It's addictive! Relaxing, absorbing and creative & has a small low tech kit list -a lump of wood, a craft knife & your lap.
During this course Dave will teach you traditional hand carving, whittling, skills, using craft knives and other specialist hand tools provided to enable you to complete a bird in just a day.

Mastering Knife Skills in Wood- Carve a Butter Spreader

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Start knife carving in wood - it's amazing what you can do with just a small axe and a couple of knives. Working with green unseasoned wood you will learn to use really simple tools to carve and whittle using techniques that are almost like drawing in wood. Learn these lovely relaxing techniques using the most basic tools - with no power tools you'll enjoy the freedom of simple carving.

This intensive three day course covers six set projects to demonstrate different skills and techniques in working with silver clay.
