An introduction to Cobbling

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Join Adam Beeston here for a day of cobbling.This is a 'Hands On' day enabling you to learn the skills associated with traditional methods of laying cobbles (before the days of cement and vibrating compactors!) This will be a relatively peaceful day with your square metre of ground in front of you and the materials and expertise to learn this age old skill.

Tiles & Triptychs in Porcelain

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
A day with this very talented ceramics artist creating textured tiles of sizes to suit your need.
Whether to be incorporated in a kitchen wall setting, combined as a Triptych or simply to use as single tile decorations or coaster is your choice.There are multiple uses.

Textured Porcelain: Buttons, Bud Vases and Tea Lights with ceramicist Gwen Bainbridge

Make a beautiful tall porcelain vase embellished with your own pretty textures using lace patterns and embroidery with 'spriggs'.

Be a Blacksmith for a day

Learn the basics of Blacksmithing in a day under Adrian Wood's expert guidance. You will soon learn how to get the metal to just the right colour to start to shape it, how to draw the metal out and make functional and decorative curves. Knife Forging Workshop

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
This knife-making course is more akin to silversmithing than full on blacksmithing, using light hammers and finesse rather than brute force and sweat.
