The Essex Craft & Design Show is returning to Hyde Hall for a fifth year, but with different dates for 2014. The work includes art, photography, ceramics, jewellery and many other contemporary crafts. This show will be held in the garden's Event Barn and a number of marquees, there will also be outdoor exhibits and demonstrations.
Building on the success of last year this event will showcase handcrafted items with artists, craft workers and designers all very welcome. The fair provides an opportunity for specialists to demonstrate their skills and impart their design knowledge allowing the public to experience firsthand the expertise involved. Demonstrations welcomed where possible.
The Craft Village is centrally located adjacent to the arena's, its a small show in its own right, with 40/50 Artist's, Designers & Craftsmen exhibiting, demonstrating and selling their crafts and skills. They are complimented by specialist demonstration areas such as the Blacksmith's Guild and Chainsaw Carving.
Meet literally hundreds of designer-makers from across the UK at this major, annual, four day, craft extravaganza promoting the very best of British crafts. Celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2014, the event is much more than just a craft show; with lectures, workshops, demonstrations and food & drink, Living Crafts is an experience not to be missed.
Moving to a new date in May, we return for the eighth year to Wood Green Animal Shelter for our popular Country Show on the showfields with all day entertainment including birds of prey, working dogs, children's entertainment as well as arts, crafts, gifts and food marquees.
Original major specialist fair with up to 80 exhibitors selling fine quality antique and collectable glass including contemporary artists showing their own work. Exhibitions, refreshments, free parking.
