Emma Dunbar: Journeys as Far and Back in the Kitchen

We are delighted to welcome Emma Dunbar back for her much anticipated new solo exhibition. Emma paints in Hampshire and Cornwall. Her attraction to colour and the decorative qualities in everyday objects provide the foundation for her art. Emma works mainly on board in acrylic, occasionally incorporating collage with gold and silver leaf.
Alex McCarthy's work is inspired by the artist's fascination for touch. His tactile work is inspired by textures that surround us such as; tree bark, natural rocks, cracking paint and marine life. Each artwork is thrown and fired several times: metal oxides add depth whilst the gold, platinum and copper lustre add a sense of opulence.
Virginia Graham: Curiously Eccentric Ceramics: New Ashgate Winner, Festival of Crafts (2016)

Virginia's ceramics are an eclectic amalgamation of nostalgic form and imagery, transforming the ordinary past by drawing on a wide range of domestic traditions. Her handmade pieces range from teapots to jewellery, and she also creates one-off pieces that incorporate precious stones, metal and found objects. Virginia's combination of slip casting and hand building techniques creates her style.
Chris Barker from The Smallprint Company will be showcasing his work in this new solo exhibition and has collated a selection of his printed works created over the last 20 years. Using a variety of processes including screen print, waterless lithography and letterpress, the works on show will represent a range of projects.
