To run alongside our 'Fantasic Creatures' Exhibition, we are looking for any work inspired by the English summer - coast, beach or summer meadows. All mediums welcome - painting, illustration, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, textiles, glass, wood, metal, jewellery, etc.

Durham Guild of Spinners Weavers and Dyers- Chinese Whispers

Event Type: Gallery Exhibition
This exhibition uses the idea of passing on one idea to the next to generate new and interesting creations.
The guild took as their starting point a beautiful stain glass window from Durham Cathedral, which was designed by Mark Angus and is based on the image of the Last Supper. The 12 pieces are displayed in order following the piece that it is inspired by.

The Embroiderers Guild - Capability and Creativity

Just over 300 years after his death, the creativity of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown is finally coming to Cumbria. We will be hosting an exhibition by members of the Embroiderers Guild of work inspired by the talent of this extraordinary, radical landscape designer.

The Paisley Project - Contributions from Embroiderers Guild members and young members from all over Scotland

Event Type: Gallery Exhibition
The Paisley Panels are a celebration of the great textile heritage of the town of Paisley; weaving, spinning, dyeing and thread making. Each piece of paisley pattern was contributed by members of the Embroiderers guilds in Scotland. These were gathered together and mounted to create the beautiful final four panels you can see on display here at the Mill.

Anne James - A Career in Ceramics

Anne James has been a member of The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen since 1965 and has recently been awarded Life Membership.
During this showcase there will be work for sale from her recent collection which demonstrates how Anne has refined her work with burnished lustered Raku. The show will also reflect on what has come before, with pieces from Anne's archive.

Roger Bell at the Brewhouse

Event Type: Gallery Exhibition
A new solo exhibition from Roger Bell. Roger's work is best described as sculpture for domestic interiors and gardens. Eclectic inspirations include the jigsaw form, buildings, furniture and containers. He creates two and three dimensional work ranging in size from maquettes of 5cm to sculptures of 125cm tall.
The Brewhouse at Burgundy's is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30 - 5.00 pm

"Outline", is a new group exhibition from the region's premier artists collective Green Door. Opening on 24 May at Kendal Museum, the exhibition includes drawings, mixed media, paintings, papercuts, prints, wire sculptures and textiles.
