Dyeing with Indigo - Scarves

Indigo is an ancient dye derived from the leaves of plants and surrounded by magic, mystery and folklore. Discover how the leaves 'make blue' by learning about the character and chemistry of the natural indigo vat. Create two beautiful scarves to take home. The tutor is internationally known as a resist dyer and was dyeing Features Editor for the Journal of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.

Pewter Work - Tour of Techniques

Pewter is a soft, pliable metal and lovely to work with. This course offers an introduction to the craft of pewterwork, made popular by the Arts and Crafts Movement. You will learn the basic techniques common to all pewterwork projects. Using simple hand-held tools, you will be shown how to give texture and form to flat metal sheet to produce an attractive sampler of techniques.
