Ceramics Open Studio Scheme

From 18th May, Rural Arts will be opening its studio space on a weekly basis to individuals working with clay. A technician will be on hand to support access to equipment and materials. This is an opportunity to work alongside makers of all levels to help share ideas and skills. Book by: 27 Sept '17

Basic Woodworking 3

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Learn basic routing and wood bending and expand your dovetailing skills. You will make a curved, dovetailed box to take home. This course builds on the skills learned in 'Basic Woodworking 1' and 'Basic Woodworking 2', but if you are practically-minded with reasonable woodworking skills we're happy to discuss whether this is an appropriate course for you.

Silver Jewellery - Classic and Contemporary

Make beautiful pieces of contemporary silver jewellery using traditional techniques. This course involves extensive hands-on practice and expert tuition in a well-equipped studio. The tutor is an award-winning designer-jeweller and has taught extensively. Beginners will make a silver band ring, and then progress to making items such as earrings, bangles, pendants and cuff links.
