Garden Trugs

One day basketry workshop to learn how to make a traditional garden trug, perfect for collecting produce or flowers. Learn how to form an oval hoop and split ribs which make up this strong, functional basket and choose from a variety of willow to make your basket unique.

Indigenous Coil Basket Weaving

Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 May
Come and learn a special coiling method from Australia, and construct a small basket of your own. This will be an engaging day full of information including a visual presentation around the life of Indigenous women and how they gather and make their baskets. Ruth Woods shares stories of her time in the outback and shows examples of the Yolngu women's work and her own.

Mark Making and Textural Play

Contemporary International Engraved Glass
