There will be 1 Gold Award and 2 Silver Awards presented in each category
plus 3 Finalists – and the overall winner will receive the coveted Maker of the Year title.
Total prize value over the six categories is in excess of £25,000:
- Wood & Metal
- Jewellery & Precious Metal
- Ceramics
- Textiles & Needlecrafts
- Glass
- Specialist Media
The craft&design Selected Maker of the Year Valued at £5,000, this award is presented to the Gold Award Winner who received the most votes overall:
- A cheque for £1,000
- The title craft&design Selected Maker of the Year (Year)
- Plus the title craft&design Selected Gold Award (Year and Name of Category)
- Gold Award & Maker of the Year logos to use for promotional purposes
- A four page Front Cover feature in craft&design magazine, plus copies to use for promotional purposes.
- An enhanced Premier Page on the craft&design Selected online gallery until the end of the year in which the award is won.
- Product image included on Bookmarks and in the following year’s Calendar, plus promotional copies of Calendars and Bookmarks
- A year’s subscription to craft&design Magazine
- Maker of the Year Award Winner’s PR sent to national and regional media by craft&design’s marketing and publicity personnel
- Promotional space in the Makers Gallery pages of 6 issues of craft&design magazine
One Gold Award in each category valued at £2,500 will be selected by the Specialist Judges from the Finalists in each category:
- The title craft&design Selected Gold Award (Year and Name of Category)
- Gold Award logo to use for promotional purposes
- A three page feature in craft&design magazine
- An enhanced premier page on craft&design Selected online gallery until the end of the year in which the award is won
- Product image included on Bookmarks and in the following year’s Calendar, plus promotional copies of Calendars and Bookmarks
- A year’s subscription to craft&design magazine
- PR provided by craft&design’s marketing and publicity personnel to send to national and regional media.
- Promotional space in the Makers Gallery pages of 1 issue of craft&design magazine
Two Silver Awards each valued at £750 are selected by the Specialist Judges from the Finalists in each category:
- The title craft&design Selected Silver Award (Year and Name of Category)
- Silver Award logo to use for promotional purposes
- A full page feature in craft&design magazine plus copies to use for promotional purposes
- Product image included on following year’s Calendar plus copies to use for promotional purposes
- A year’s subscription to craft&design magazine
The three remaining Finalists in each category each receive
- The title craft&design Selected Awards Finalist (Year and Name of Category)
- The Finalists logo to use for promotional purposes
- 1/3 page editorial coverage in craft&design magazine
- A year’s subscription to craft&design magazine
