“I studied the cabinets in the Pitt Rivers and the Ashmolean in Oxford and was captivated by the ancient objects, in particular the ‘Sympathetic Magic’ cabinet. I decided to travel to Norfolk to trace back the bone fish. Once there, I began my own collection from the sea, which fed into my work. In this project I have worked with a wide range of materials: fabric, plastic, wood, resin and ceramic. I hope to keep developing my cabinet of curiosities over time.” It was these ‘curiosities’ that caught our eye at craft&design - we’re sure they’ll get lots more attention in the future!
